Boyfriend Murdered Husband Murdered

Here are a few more cases of wives have murdered their husbands or women who have murdered their boyfriends. that are similar to the story above. These cases are not associated with the movie or the story above on which the movie is based.

Jan. 16, 1996 Young County, Texas

Casey Roy Elliott, 27, was reported missing by his family. An investigation led the police to the home of his girlfriend, 41 year old, Helen Moore. Elliott was living with his girlfriend Casey and her two young sons at the time of his disappearance.

When they questioned the girlfriend they noticed blood stains on the wooden porch. Helen Moore said that the blood came from a pig that had been killed. They asked if they could come inside the home to check things out, and she agreed. The floor inside the home looked as though the carpet was removed. She said they had a fight about the carpet, and that she decided to burn the carpet because her boyfriend said that she was a bad housekeeper. After that he was angry and stormed out. Police then got a call about some possible human remains that had been found in some prairie grass. An examination of the scene indicated that the body had been moved to that location. An autopsy found traces of morphine in the body. His body was finally identified through a paternity test. Police went back to the house to ask questions about the pig. They took blood samples. The blood samples proved that the blood was from a pig and not a human being.

The police later learned that there was an insurance policy taken out on her boyfriend. Helen Moore was arrested and charged with murder. Forensic investigators used luminol to check for blood at the ranch, but Moore had used bleach to scrub the house clean. During the interrogation the police made it clear that the state would seek the death penalty for the murder. When Helen realized that she might be getting the death penalty, she confessed to the murder.

The Murder According to Helen
Casey had complained of back pain so she gave him a lethal dose of morphine. She then decided to get rid of the body, but he was a 300 pound cowboy who was almost impossible to move. So she attached the body to a lasso, and then attached the lasso to her truck. She backed the truck up near the front entrance of the ranch, and pulled his body out of the house dragging it so that she could load it onto the trailer. She eventually butchered the parts and scattered them around three different counties to make identification impossible. She was sentenced to life in prison.

Tidbits
The case is referred to as the Cowboy Murder Case. Friends and family described the 300 pound cowboy as a gentle giant who wouldn't hurt anyone.

  1. If you refer to the evidence in this case the facts do NOT add up & Helen was under the influence of Prozac which was administered while she was in custody. She should never have been questioned let alone allowed to plea bargain while in this condition. Every piece of evidence points AWAY from her & if ALL the case notes are read then you will find the real killers talked about getting away with the murder that THEY committed.

  3. I have looked at all the facts & agree that Helen Moore was not fit to plead due to the effects of Prozac administered by a doctor, also that she was charged with Murder NOT capital murder....Murder would not have required her to plea bargain so it appears that she was misrepresented or misinformed.

  4. She's a sociopath, and a cold blooded murderer.

I hope she never sees the light of day for what she did.

  5. As long as I have breath in my body, she will never see the light of day. I will be at every parole hearing reminding them of what she did to my family. For @Anonymous January 4, all of the evidence pointed straight to her. When she realized she was caught and would get the death penalty, then SHE cut a deal. As for the website, it has changed so many times. Each time the "story" gets more horrific than the last so that she can get more sympathy. Casey never hurt a sole in his life. Anyone that knew him knew that. He was not a violent person. That psycho bitch can rot in hell. She's getting a taste of what we have been through since her son was killed in a car wreck over the weekend.

    1. She is not getting a taste of what you have been through since she has not been a part of his life since she went to prison. It is his family that is suffering. Shame on you for being so cruel to think that you received some sort of justice in the death of a young man that was as much of a victim as your family member.

    2. This woman was in every way wrong in killing this man, but her sons were every bit a victim to this situation as ellioits family. These innocent boys had to grow up with no mother and endure the relentless reputation of being 'Helen Moore's sons'. They have endured media accusations, town rumors and constant reminders of their mothers mistakes their entire lives. They raised themselves from a small age all because of their mothers mistakes... And turned out to be great men despite everything their mother's choices put against them. The Elliot family endured a great a tragic loss, of which I am very sorry, but so did those boys. They never had a normal life because of it. The death of Helen Moore's son is in no way an example of karma or revenge to Helen Moore. It is an amazingly devasting loss of someone that was very close to more than he even realized. To slander his memory in this way is shameful and cruel.

      R.I.P. Chad.

  6. You only get the death penalty for Capital Murder...She was charged with murder so why was she advised to plea bargain? why was it reported she plea bargained in the Graham Leader before it happened...It doesn't add up.

  7. I see where Casey got his sweet nature from.

  8. To find the truth about Helen Moore one would have to search her past and see the big picture. She had more than one husband die under suspicious circumstances. Ms. Moore was also the victim of more than her share of house fires. "Sweet nature" tends to go out the window when your loved one has been brutally murdered. As for her son, that is a tragedy that should have been prevented. Its very sad to see what drinking and driving destroys. One boy dead, another probably going to jail for manslaughter. Helen Moore is just where she needs to be, in jail for the rest of her life! Not only did she murder Casey, she blatantly disregarded the little boys she gave birth to all because of selfishness and greed.

  9. I would hate to be as bitter & twisted as you are. Were you born like it or did you have to practice ? She did not have TWO husbands die in suspicious circumstances. Her first died in a baling accident & was investigated & it was not at all suspicious unless a narrow minded bigot is looking at it, you perhaps ?
Chad was not driving he was in the back of the truck, why make him sound at fault ? No she will not be in jail for the rest of her life the lawyers are in the process of reopening the case. Then some folks are going to have to put up or shut up when the murderers are named by her. I have no interest in anything other than justice unlike some.

    1. Lets see how bitter and twisted you would be if this murderous evil hag had destoyed and chopped up YOUR SON. It matters not one iota what lawyers want to reopen a murderous' old womans case- This evil-box pleaded guilty to capitol murder to avoid being EXECUTED. Ignorant - calling the victims family "twisted" while discussing and defending a cunning killer that poisoned and dismembered a young man for 150,000 insurance. Texas should have EXECUTED this P.O.S. -

  11. I have noticed a new website is being written at www.helenhardinmoore.net as someone has been messing with the old one.
Let's hope it shows Helen as she truly is...INOCENT.

  12. I see there is a new site opening for Helen Hardin Moore it is www.helenhardinmoore.net & has not been messed with like her original site. How cruel can people be when the lady has just lost her son?

  13. I found the website www.helenhardinmoore.net very interesting. I also found it interesting that it appears Helen's original website has been hacked because folks are afraid that the truth about Casey will come out. Also the truth about the murderers.

  14. Rob Boyd has taken up Helen's case at "The Streets Don't Love You Back" He is a good honest man & believes in Helen. Her case is gaining in momentum, it will be interesting what her haters say when the truth comes out.

  16. I find it interesting nobody has mentioned the fact that the tires on the bronco and stock trailer match the tracks found at the dump site and the trailer had been in her care for 2 years. If she didn't do it, then someone close to the family or kids had to be the killer.

  17. I would love to talk to you about Casey, especially your comment about the evidence of the tire tracks. I am writing a story about Casey's murder in my next book, How Did They Die? Murders in Texas." If you would email me at wehaveneatstuff@gmail.com, I would really appreciate it. I always write about the victim and the accused in my stories!
